There are two aspects: the voltage and current. Delivered in any USB port (either an adapter or not) must be at least 5 V at 100mA. If the device asks, you can get a 5 V at 500 mA. Sun teams for all USB.
Special USB chargers, of course, can offer more power, which is no problem. You should check the voltage ... USB of any kind should never offer more than 5 V DC, but I want to be sure and check before you mix and match equipment .. You can use a device that is fat and happy at 6 volts, but others may be damaged or destroyed by additional burden.
A specialized investors could also lower the voltage or current. It is unlikely, but possible. This will not harm anything, but charged no warranty for the phone when the voltage is turned off. All USB devices are expected to be between 4.5 V and 5.25 V. Labor
